Reverend Nathan Kilbourne
Rev. Nathan Kilbourne has been pastor of Vilonia United Methodist Church since July of 2013. He began ministry in the Arkansas Annual Conference in 2009 after graduating from seminary at Duke Divinity School in Durham North Carolina. Before coming to Vilonia, he served as an associate pastor at Asbury United Methodist Church in Little Rock, AR. In his spare time, he enjoys playing a little golf as well as dabbling in woodwork.
Rev. Kilbourne is married to Rev. Lynn Kilbourne, who is the associate minister at First United Methodist Church in Conway Arkansas. They met while in seminary at Duke and enjoy serving Christ’s church together. Currently, they have a dog named Maggie and enjoy spoiling her.
Nathan considers it a great honor to serve Vilonia United Methodist Church and has been excited to see how God has moved in this congregation. Moreover, he is looking forward to seeing the church continue to grow in its love for God and the people in the community.
Deanna Elms, Youth Director
My name is Deanna Elms and I am the Youth Director for Vilonia United Methodist Church. My husband, Ryan Elms, is a vital part of this ministry also, as he does just about everything for the youth group. Ryan is in the United States Air Force, and we have been stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base for a little over 2 years now. We have five sons, Wesley (8th grade), William (6th grade), Waylon (2nd grade), Wyatt (kinder), and Wade (3 years old). We live in the country and have several animals, including chickens, horses, donkey’s, calves, dogs, and a barn cat . We enjoy being stationed here with some of Ryan’s family. We felt welcomed from the first time we attended V.U.M.C., and have been at Vilonia United Methodist Church since we moved here. Since the day we started coming, through a deployment, and a major surgery with several complications, our Church family has been so good to us. In September of 2011, I became the Youth Director. I felt God was calling me back to this wonderful ministry with Youth. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the youth and parents of the church. It has been a very busy time with lots of activities, and balancing our large family, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I have three prior years of experience working with youth.
